Gordon has held a second successful jobs and skills fair in which hundreds of prospective job seekers attended.
Blackpool Works hosted by the Blackpool South MP boasted almost 50 exhibitors, ranging from the public, private and voluntary sector.
The event held at Bloomfield Road was officially opened by the Mayor of Blackpool, Councillor Val Haynes.
Speaking at the event, Gordon said: “I would like to thank all the exhibitors and the people who have come and to my staff who organised this event. I also want to thank the Football Club for once again hosting the event.
“The jobs scene in Blackpool is complex and challenging. The aim of this event is to help people get the skills they need and see the range of opportunities for them from a wide range of organisations.
“There are things for young people coming out of school and college, the 19 to 24 age range and also for older people.
“Together with my Back Blackpool Business campaign, I see this event as part of my role as a MP, helping people to access the right skills and job opportunities.”
The event was praised by many, attendees and exhibitors alike and built on from last year’s first ever Blackpool Works.
