Labour North West Regional Conference will be returning to the Grand in Blackpool this weekend.
The conference is an opportunity for members in the North West to meet each other, discuss policy ideas, plan campaigns and enjoy what Blackpool has to offer.
The event gets bigger and better every year with over 600 visitors coming to Blackpool over the weekend and a brilliant line up of speeches and fringe events.
Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell will be making a key speech along with Shadow Business Secretary Rebecca Long Bailey and other Regional leaders and MPs. Conference will be opened by Labour’s candidate for Blackpool North and Cleveleys Chris Webb.
On Saturday, we will also be holding a People Powered Mass Meeting with Party Chair Ian Lavery MP. This is part of the party’s new community organising initiative which aims to empower local people to make change in their communities.
Gordon said: “I’m proud Blackpool has again been given the honour of hosting our North West Regional Conference. It is a great opportunity for national Labour politicians to travel to our town and meet people and hear what people want to see change in this country.”
Labour’s candidate for Blackpool North and Cleveleys Chris Webb said: “We always receive a warm welcome in Blackpool. We are delighted to be returning this year for what is an important conference at a turbulent time in national politics. As well as speeches from key shadow cabinet members there will be policy debate, training and hopefully leave some time to enjoy the sights of Blackpool.”
